From the article

And the latest to join the competition is renewable energy giant NextEra Energy Inc., which said Thursday that it’ll build a project in Florida that will claim the title of the largest solar-powered battery in the world. The 409-megawatt battery will be added to an existing 74.5-megawatt solar plant on the west coast of the state near Tampa, a company statement shows.

Batteries are rated in HOURS. Amp hours.

So, that is 409MWh   on a 74.5MW solar plant....

So, if you wish to KILL your batteries ASAP and replace them every 2 years and do a 100% DoD on them, it will store ~5 hours of backup to said 74.5MW plant.

It better not be cloudy.... or evening/night/sunrise time better cut itself by 70% in Florida.... 🤣

This is interesting. I went back and looked at the original release and it just says MW. There was no MWh figure anywhere, and no-one has bothered to report one - but now that I think of MWh would  be correct.. 400plus MW is way too much for a battery output.. what a waste of time for all concerned.. thanks for that..
