In the aftermath of the election Brennan has repeatedly called Trump a traitor on social media and old media.

I imagine he was probably pretty upset by what Trump said at the Helsinki Summit:

Quote

With that being said, all I can do is ask the question. My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me and some others and said they think it’s Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it’s not Russia. I will say this. I don’t see any reason why it would be,...

Apparently, John McCain was pretty upset, too, saying:

No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant.

Got a couple of questions about this whole deal from the git-go:

1) When Mueller found out the dossier was fake, why didn't he call off the whole investigation?  IOW, how can you conduct a grand jury investigation based on a false report.

2) How can there be obstruction without a crime, especially if the investigation was based on a false report?

3) How did Sessions not know about the shenanigans going on or at least seek to find out before recusing himself?  It was very weak of him to recuse himself without investigating what was going on in light of the potential disaster it created.

I'm ready for the hunters to become the hunted, and get to the bottom of the dealings of the deep-state.  Looks like Trump is going to declassify the FISA warrant, which is a good start.

New York Times: The Tables Have Turned -- Time To Investigate The FBI, Steele And The Rest Of The 'Witch Hunters'

... And after a nearly two-year investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller and roughly 40 FBI agents and other specialists, no evidence was found to support the dossier's wild claims of "DNC moles, Romanian hackers, Russian pensioners, or years of Trump-Putin intelligence trading," as the Times puts it.

Now that the shoe is on the other foot, and key Democrats backing away from talks of impeachment, let's see if lady justice will follow the rest of us down the rabbit hole.

Well I found his posts after Russiagate histeria refreshing and amusing.

If you dont like to get some informations for example about John McCain activity in Syria or Ukraine watch more MSM because you will have no doubts thats only Putins trolls achievement why people all over the world year after year vote in Gallup research that US is single biggest threat to world stability and peace.

And they also convinced without any proofs middle class in US that they in last 40 years didnt get fair share of US economical growth in comparison with 1% of wealthiest people and you can accuse globalization for such result..

Im not saying that concentration of wealth in Russia is any better than in US but I can find dozens of reasonable reasons why after 40 years of such neoliberalism globalism and neoconservatism rednecks decided to change something in US global and internal policy and voted for Trump. And why Henry Kissinger is also right that not Russia but China is biggest threat to US global hegemony so you should try to make better relations with Putin.

You can also find a lot of articles where people in  Russia lost after Russiagate all ilusions that american MSM are really any better that their own press or television.

A lot of people really thought in that way afyer Soviet union experience even couple years ago but after such madness and hate speech targeted all Russians they dont longer think so and they were convinced they are really Untermenschen according to some western press genetically motivated to cheat and steal as MSM once told Americans.

There is also now really no need to make sophisticated antiamerican propaganda in Russia all you need is to translate such articles to russian on inosmi.ru which is one of most popular websites in runet and thats best way to convinced them about that without any lies or cheating.

All you need is to translate such articles with tittle- American elites thinks we are genetically motivated to cheat and steal.

Its also more shameful because people like Juliia Yoffe are very active in such practices and popular in US. As far as I know she is Jew from former Soviet Union also like Gari Kasparov, Khodorkovsky or Masha Gessen or Jew as Anne Applebaum or a lot of jounalists but despite this they producing now something a little bit similar to antijewish propaganda in past decades and centuries.

In a situation when russian-jewish relation are all time high an Putin in contrary to some previous russian leaders is at least for sure not a antisemite so jewish elites should really take this under consideration in their propaganda because russian next leader for sure might not be so moderate for Jews or Europe if some nationals or right wing come to power.

Because Putin is really quite moderate in comparison with some alternatives and popular in society. He really was rather a zapadnik (westerphile} at the beginning in 1999 but 2 Maidans and nato expansion to the east was a one bridge too far.

I think its very good article about thhat

Duly noted; your complaint is hilarious.

So let's just highlight your complaint to Oil Price staff...  @Rodent

I'm guessing that as an anonymous newcomer here with an apparent agenda, you have never seen my 5 year old tag line that I have used as a moderator both on the old Oilpro forum and here on the Oil Price forum :

"Just my opinion; as always, you are free to disagree."

i am very much pro - Oil & Gas, and dang proud of the Oil & Gas industry.  I refuse to apologize for being strongly pro - Oil & Gas.

i did not start this thread, and had previously noted that as a moderator, I was inititially going to advise that this thread was off-topic for this Oil Price forum, but since this thread was posted in the Geopolitics sub-forum, I had noted that it seems suitable here:

"The Geopolitics Forum focuses on all global politics. If it's related to oil please create a thread within the Oil General forum."

As a side note, I also happen to be very much pro Trump, and will not apologize for being pro-Trump.

Clearly, you disagree wirh my opinions.  I have no problem with others disagreeing.  Heck, I encourage dissent.

But you are apparently demanding that I apologize for being pro - Trump and for being pro - Oil & Gas.  That's not going to happen.

As an anonymous newcomer to this forum with no real history, you apparently feel that you have the right to simply show up anonymously and shut down discussions which you disagree with.  As a moderator, I will not allow that, and I'm calling you out on your lack of freedom of speech.

Which is why I alerted Oil Price staff to your complaint.  I have no plans to go away here on Oil Price forum.

==================================

/ Edit, my earlier note about this thread:

as a moderator here, I was going to mention that this thread was off-topic for this forum, but then I saw it was posted in the "Geopolitics" sub-forum, so it appears to be fine:

"The Geopolitics Forum focuses on all global politics. If it's related to oil please create a thread within the Oil General forum."

The irony of the Mueller investigation that was demanded by Democrats because they thought it would show Trump colluded with Russia to win the Presidency is that it has blown up in their faces by exposing in greater detail how Obama and the Deep State attempted first, to throw an election in favor of one candidate, Hillary Clinton, and second, attempted a coup once Trump was elected via investigations and false claims.

Once Trump won the election, the Deep State used their accomplices in the msm to convince the American public that Donald J Trump stole the election with the collaboration of the Russians. In this way they sought to remove him by impeachment.

It turns out the Deep State were the ones who were acting as agents of Russia seeking to tear America apart.

Consider:

  • John Brennan, Obama’s CIA director, by his own admission, played a key role in instigating the investigation of Trump before the election. In the aftermath of the election Brennan has repeatedly called Trump a traitor on social media and old media.

  • We now know in August 2016 Brennan gave a private briefing to Sen. Harry Reid. Subsequently, Reid sent a letter to the FBI which included info that clearly came from the now infamous dossier, manufactured by ex-British spy Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS contractor. This dossier would later be included in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant application that was used to justify investigations into Trump, his campaign, and his family. It now appears very likely Brennan later lied under oath that he did not know who commissioned the dossier.

  • This dossier was originally funded by none other than Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.

  • Since the conclusion of the Mueller report has come out Brennan, probably fearing an investigation into his actions pre/post election, now says he had “bad information”. A more accurate description might be that he was willfully spreading disinformation to bring down a President.

  • James Comey himself described this dossier as “salacious” and “unverified” yet he did not bother to have the FBI attempt to verify the contents of the dossier.

  •  This didn't stop Comey from lying 4 times to the FISA court that ex-British spy Steele was the source of an article by “journalist” Isikoff, which was used to corroborate claims in his own dossier.

  • So Comey, in essence, told the FISA court that the Steele dossier had been corroborated by…Steele.

  • Some background: Steele also worked for Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. So the only person who had any verifiable evidence of working with the Russians in any capacity is an ex-British spy, contracted to manufacture a false dossier on behalf of Hillary Clinton to smear Trump and later weaponized to impeach Trump after he won the election.

  • Comey lied to the FISA court so he could obtain, as he did, a warrant to spy on Carter Page (Trump staffer) and the Trump family during the election.

  • Moreover, in addition to Comey, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe, and former Attorney General Sally Yates were required to sign off on the FISA warrant application. They are either incompetent or were engaged in a conspiracy but regardless, this was a fraud on the FISA court.

  • Bruce Ohr, a senior official at the time at the Justice Department, acted as a middleman between the FBI and Steele. He passed along information from his wife Nellie Ohr, also a Fusion GPS contractor like Steele, with, presumably, unverified and false info regarding Trump and his campaign.

  • The FBI later terminated Steele’s relationship as a confidential informant with them after he revealed this relationship to the press. However, for up to 1.5 years after, Bruce Ohr continued to act as middleman between Steele and the FBI, even after Mueller took over the investigation.

Americans should be marching in the streets at this attempted coup but we are so doped with mindless entertainment that we no longer care. We are becoming a system where as long as you don’t challenge the 2 party system you are allowed your freedom to make money and to say whatever you want so long as it doesn't have consequences.

Any more details of Mueller's report due to be released by AG Barr are likely to reveal more of the rotted core of the Deep State and their machinations and not, as Democrats think, damaging info about Trump.

I agree! Great summary of what is really going on.

re:Americans should be marching in the streets at this attempted coup but we are so doped with mindless entertainment that we no longer care

This post is hilarious to the point I almost think he's trolling leftists. It could be the definition of what a snowflake is.

This thread destroyed his preconceived thoughts fed to him by the state media. He can't accept the overwhelming amount of evidence that points to this being a coup attempt involving the CIA, FBI, senior officials in the Obama admin, as well as Obama himself, against Trump.

He's become so flustered by this that he doesn't even understand this is a Geopolitics forum. Or maybe he does but since he doesn't like what he's reading, because it destroyed his reality, ban it. And ban the moderators who allow it.

I have no secret sources or knowledge. It's all public info easily found on the internet but not if all you do is plug into state media like CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Wapo, Nytimes, etc.

Even then some of this info has bled into the state media. It's so bad they can't entirely ignore it.

If you don't think this has geopolitical implications with Russia, Europe, UK you are wrong.

You would be very comfortable in North Korea or Cuba or the former USSR.

A coup?!? What do you believe is the meaning of the word? Allegedly attempting to influence an election and overthrowing a government are two vastly different things. And I hate to state the obvious, but if Obama really wanted to make sure Trump wouldn't win, all he had to do was disclose that the FBI was ALSO investigating the Trump campaign, for interactions with the Russians. But he didn't. He wanted to make absolutely sure he did not interfere with the election, to the point of failing to tell the American people of despicable contacts with the tyrant in Moscow and his cronies. He just had no idea he was dealing with people who had no morals and would do anything to win.

And frankly, I'm sick and tired of seeing this stupid headline pop up every time I'm trying to get recent information about the oil market. This should be a non-partisan outlet for finding out about the price of oil, not a bastion for crackpot right-wing conspiracy theorists. That's what Fox News is for!

The status quo has brought us to a state where the government controls the people and not vice versa. Our main enemy might not be China but our own Deep State. The Deep State is ONLY THE CORE of the rotten Administrative State that now has taken control of most governmental affairs at most levels of government around the country. Government workers now have better pay AND far better benefits than most middle class workers. They reward big government with fierce loyalty (Of course there are exceptions).

America has a strong Constitution that limits the power of the Federal Government and favors the states with any power not explicitly granted to the federal government. That has been eroded for many decades and has continued to be by liberal courts and federal grants to the states. RINO Republicans and Democrats have both allowed this to happen for political reasons. We are fast becoming a tyrannical nation. Only President Trump has been able to see what our government really has become. God be with him as he continues his work.

Global Oil & Gas is doing great these days, and it's time for me to go back to the $70 Brent Happy Dance and ignore the haters : )

Also, I've been told that a video of the Sarawak Oil & Gas Seminar will be released in a week or so, and I'll post a link on this forum when it is released.  Hopefully my mildly fiery speaking at the Seminar won't get edited out of the video.  The moderator kept me in check before I got really rolling, and the organizers forbid me to discuss certain "sensitive" topics.  But it was fun jolting the normally staid audience a bit.

You know, I have been away busy at work for a couple of weeks.  When I come back, I see you all talking crazy again.  Like really crazy.  Going off on a bunch madman conspiracy theories.  So much misinformation here from a lawyer's perspective.

OK, first off, "treason" can only happen during wartime.  No one, from the legal community, anyway, was ever considering charging Donald Trump with treason.  Espionage on the other hand.....  Or conspiracy to commit theft of intellectual property via cyberespionage, yes.  Or Obstruction of Justice.  Money Laundering.  Violation of campaign finance laws.  Tax evasion.  However, there is no crime called "collusion" in legal terms, the crime is conspiracy.  "Collusion" is a commoner's word describing the crime.  The problem comes from "low information voters" who are not intelligent enough to know the difference between the legal meaning and the colloquial one.  I think President Trump is trying to "pollute the jury pool" in an attempt to make people believe there is no evidence against him at all.  I don't think it will work, but it might be all he has got.  Some of the crimes are "paper" crimes, where the evidence is in black and white.  This is particularly true of tax evasion.  Most of the people I know in the legal community are convinced he didn't just stop suddenly outside the statute of limitations.  And winning the presidency should not make you immune for crimes you committed along the way to getting there.

I trust the psychologists I know that say Donald Trump has "malignant narcissism."  This is the combination of narcissistic personality disorder and anti-social personality disorder (also known as psychopathy).  In the old days, this was called "criminally insane."  However, this often confused juries because the law says you cannot be a criminal and insane.  In order to commit a crime, you have to form what is known as "mens rea" or guilty mind.  This is referred to in the law as "scienter" or the knowledge that you are committing a wrongful act.  However, there were clearly people who had knowledge of their wrongdoing (insane people don't have this knowledge) and intended to harm to others.  Psychologist had to come up with a way to explain someone who was so depraved that they would harm others without a conscious.  In other words, they would know their actions were wrong, but they just did not care.  That is where we get the idea of the psychopath.

Occam's Razor, people.  (It means the simplest explanation is usually best.)

Also, some of the quotes above by Tom Kirkman (alleging things Hillary said) very well might have been altered (there are reports that Russian agents altered or created fake e-mails to damage Hillary).  I know many of you here want to believe she said it, but given what we know (or should know) happened during the 2016 election, you should be more careful.  Yes, you are being manipulated.  We all are to some extent.  We all have out biases.  I have mine, too.  But, as a lawyer, I am waiting for all of the facts to come out first.  Given Donald Trump's psychology, I am more inclined to think he is guilty of something.  Probably lots of things.  The investigations are not over.  The investigators had probable cause for initiating their investigations.  Don't let your political biases get in the way of the facts.

For the benefit of the one gentleman who inquired about the use of "tRump," it is a use of his name to insult him.  This is allowed in the United States (at least for now).  It is sometimes used by those on the political left as a way of expressing disdain for his being elected president.

Please see the definition of "rump."  https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/rump

One meaning of the word is "butt."  Another is "a small or inferior remnant or offshoot" as in a "rump convention," which has a political meaning, suggesting that Trump only has a small group supporting him.  It could mean both things at the same time.

What I don't know is what is meant by the term "Deep State" as it is thrown around by you right-wingers.  How do you define this term?  To be quite honest, I doubt that any of you here know what it means.  It has a specific meaning to somebody (who came up with the term), but I am not sure the people who throw the term around know what it means.

1. You accuse people of conspiracy theories when many conspiracies have already been shown to exist in the Obama Administration of which Hillary was a part.

2. You call Trump supporters unintelligent because they do not know the legal definition of collusion. That only show you don't even know the difference between the word unintelligent and ignorant. You were ignorant of that fact. Only a person who thinks he was an elitist would make such a statement.

3. Deep State has a common meaning which is far beyond your ken. The Obama Administration helped build it to what it was before President Trump was elected. Trump is now working to dismantle it. If he has a second term it will be largely done.

It is too bad that you blemish the word Okie with your smears of truly good Americans unlike you.

Take it easy easy, Ron, you are getting carried away.  Okie did not say those things. He is actually a decent guy.  He is not smearing anybody, I really think you are not connecting to what he was saying.

Getting past that, the claim that the term "Deep State" is (presumably only) being "thrown around by you right wingers" was a bit extreme.  I am hardly a "right winger."  That said, there is definitely a Deep State in the USA, mostly focused in Washington and the area between DC and Baltimore.  The NSA is the leader of the pack in the Deep State, of course, but hardly alone there.  Just to give you one very peripheral example, there was a candidate for President some time back named Gary Hart.  He had excellent credentials and had a clear possibility of winning an election.  So the operators of the Deep State maneuvered that he go on a deep-sea fishing jaunt out of Miami.  The boat selected had no optics, so it was swapped out for one named "Monkey Business."  Then operatives organized having Donna Rice on that boat - and being photographed on that boat with Gary Hart.  She and he warmed up to each other - no coincidence - and she was invited to come down to campaign HQ in DC.  She did.  That was leaked to a reporter who booked a flight down to DC, and by pure chance (?) ended up on the same plane as Donna!  He followed her out to Gary's place and she stayed overnight.

Now you have this nice sensational "sex scandal."  Did Donna Rice and Gary Hart enjoy each other sexually that night?  Well, they know, but she (rather brassily) then wore a sweatshirt that said:  "No excuses."  And she flatly refused, to the day, to speak of it.  I give her credit; a lesser soul would have crumbled and blabbed all day long.  But, because Americans are so predictable about sex stuff, it pushed Gary Hart out of the race.

Now, anyone who thinks that is not a classic Deep State maneuver is living in fantasyland.  It took a number of operators to put that together, starting with the boat swap, and having the photogs lined up to record it all. And you needed a younger woman, who let's face it, was seriously good-looking, to be the unwitting torpedo, sent in there to blow up the campaign.  This is classic Deep State stuff.  Why would the Deep State care?  Because Gary Hart would have fired lots of Deep State players.

image.png.e55509ede040578704c1562c6fbc364c.png

Notice the shirt Gary has on.  It says:  "Monkey Business Crew."   And there the two are, posing for a photog.  Do you seriously think this was not a set-up?

OK, let's get real here. Donna is one truly fine-looking woman.  She is All Woman.  Donna is not someone that any man who is still breathing and with a pulse is going to kick out of bed. She just exudes sex appeal.  I would sleep with her in a heartbeat.  So would you.  So would the rest of America, the male part, anyway  - which is precisely why that photo has such an impact.  You see it, and you jump to the conclusion that they were sleeping together.  And in America, sex is the third rail of politics. Ask Bill Clinton, he'll tell you.

She is smart, she is gorgeous, and she likes men:

The Deep State set this one up.  The result?  Gary Hart dropped out in the frenzy, and George Bush took the Presidency.  Why the push for Bush #41?  Hey, remember he was the CIA Director at one point.  Not exactly someone who is going to dismantle the Deep State, now is he?  (Full disclosure:  Both George Bush Senior #41 and George Bush Jr. #43 were presidents of my college fraternity at Yale, so I happen to personally like them.  I don't agree with some of the politics, but that's quite another story.)

Speaking of Kodak moments, how about Donald Trump declaring his love for Kim Jong Un, like a blushing bride-to-be? (That orange color is his form of blushing, right?)

Or how about the moment when he declared that John McCain wasn't a war hero, because John McCain was a prisoner of war? So much for all the men who spent time at the Hanoi Hilton...while Trump was in whatever Hilton he was in! Because going to war is for idiots, right? Smart people don't go to war, just like they don't pay taxes, right?

The Deep State is ONLY THE CORE of the rotten Administrative State that now has taken control of most governmental affairs at most levels of government around the country.

What do you mean by Administrative State?  This is another term that I do not understand.  Can you define it?  The area of law that I practice is (a body of) Administrative Law, and I am curious if you are using that term in a similar manner.  This is a serious question, Ron.  I am not trying to be insulting.  In logic, there is a logical fallacy called "equivocation."  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equivocation

Sometimes words have two meanings and it could be you are using it in a different way than how I understand it.

Government workers now have better pay AND far better benefits than most middle class workers.

Actually, the U.S. government has a legal duty to pay at the rate of "best employer" practices.  They talk about this endlessly on FedSmith.com (believe it or not, I am actually acquainted with the owners of the website).  It is also discussed quite a bit on GovExec.com.  The short of it is that U.S. Government employees at the lower pay grades are paid more than their private sector counterparts; and people like me (attorneys) are paid less working for the government than their counterparts in the private sector (among larger employers).  It is for this reason that the U.S. Government has a difficult time hiring computer programmers and engineers, who can make a lot more in the private sector.  In some cases, some $30,000 per year more.  It is this argument that you are making which has prevented them from taking steps to rectify the pay gap among certain critical skill sets.

Another point is that because the U.S. Government hires so many professionals (like lawyers and doctors, for instance) that it skews the pay scale "on average."

But your point raises a much larger question about income and wealth disparity in society as a whole, which has been discussed by "leftist" writers, which you seem to hate.

After seeing the Deepstate events unfold the last couple of years, I don’t doubt the CIA and other insiders took down JFK.

Anyway, this guy, Hansen from the Hoover Inst lays out what happened and how Mueller has actually set the legal standard for which upcoming indictments will be tried against.

==================================

Kirkman, apparently you cant read or have an inability to understand.  Where did I ask you to apologize for anything?

Lets try to make this simple so you can hopefully understand.  You wont respond to any legitimate point other than to ignore it and post some pictures.  For example what was you response to all the Trump administration lies???  It is a legitimate point and you simply wont engage because I guess you dont want to admit it.  Instead you posted a pic of a girl drinking beer.

Im waiting for your witty response and pics...

Ban Kirkman from this site please.
