Electric Flying Cars ( effect on world oil demand )

I am wondering what the likely effect on world oil demand will be when we all adopt these electric flying cars I keep reading about ( not seen one yet but I'm sure Tesla is on that one ) 

Any one have any views on this type of story ( mine is that it is pure propaganda ) Funnily enough I was listening to a radio phone in regarding the London Toxic air charge for more polluting vehicles ( pre 2006 ) The presenter kept mentioning the power and lobbying of the oil and gas industry. I didn't realise the world needed so much lobbying to convince it that it needed to consume energy.
