gkam44 + 26 May 6, 2019 (edited) Hello, I am George Kamburoff, a new member. I am a former Senior Engineer in Technical Services for PG&E, and a utility consultant, now retired. With the changing times, we have to keep up on everything with the field and technology and all the consequences of our decisions. I am an eco-freak with a varied background of power, electronics and the environment, who, at age 75 finds his desires becoming realized. With actual bids of power to a Colorado utility, wind plus battery storage and PV plus battery storage are now cheaper than nukes, oil, gas, or coal. This is a huge canary in the coal mine for the energy business. We have to all work together to make a decent transition, now mandated by efficiency and cost, to new technologies while saving our petroleum industry for other products and applications.
