I was under the impression that most traders manages to actually lose money.  So, they certainly cannot be in it for the money!

They do but they (probably) don't mean to. Although, who knows, losing could be a kick, too.

I see Bloomberg's turned into a jet tracking service, reporting where Oxy's corporate Gulfstream goes. No doubt to supply more kicks to traders.
