BP’s investors unite over fears firm is ‘falling behind’ on climate

If BP and Shell were REALLY concerned and serious about this climate change thing, wouldn't they simply leave the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry immediately and put their money into electric vehicles, wind farms, solar energy and AOC's Green Energy initiative? 

I think that they should 'put their money where their mouth is'.
