James Regan + 1,776 May 15, 2019 If you were to compare the situation with Iran and the USA to a fire triangle then you would undoubtedly be calling the fire brigade. The combustible material is now in place with the USA moving military hardware to the region, the oxygen is being played out each day on media networks and sanctions plus rhetoric all we are lacking is ignition which is being tried daily by proxy’s. This tinder box IMO will not take much to take hold. There are many aspects of this current situation that mirrors previous actions taken by the US, perhaps as soon as some of the NATO members are complicit with POTUS May be all it takes. We went to war with Iraq for much less. Iran has WMDs Iraq did not.... 1
Guillaume Albasini + 851 May 15, 2019 Bolton hasn't learned any lesson from the Iraq disaster and is using now the same old lies for fueling a war against Iran. Here is an interesting analysis on how the Iranians could play the wedge between a warmongering Bolton and a Trump less willing to go to war https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/trump-s-potential-war-iran-all-john-bolton-s-doing-ncna1005521

Douglas Buckland + 6,308 May 18, 2019 I remember a reporter interviewing a US Marine in Iraq and asking him if he had found any WMD yet? He replied, somewhat agitated, that this was war, not an Easter Egg hunt. The fact that no NUCLEAR facilities or material was found does not prove that Saddam did not possess WMD's. - He did use poison gas on the Kurds. - For weeks prior to the outbreak of hostilities there were convoys running out of Iraq to Syria. I wonder what was in those trucks? - They found MIG aircraft buried in the desert. Wonder what else got buried? We all seem to agree that today's media is biased, misguided and inaccurate, yet will hold them up as gospel truth if it happens to support 'our' view. Boat + 1,323 RG May 18, 2019 Typical Republican smoke and mirror. The Bush administration spacifically mentioned the threat of mushroom clouds from Iraq by multiple people. How does this morf into denial? Spin.
