The LGBT community probably isn't the right target.  On the other hand, if you look at the state of Western culture, it's hard to blame Poland for rejecting it wholesale.

Im from Poland

Although I said many times Im quite sceptical for our nation magnificence  this is just blantant lie. 

People in Poland are quite conservative, there is quite a lot of xenophobia, antisemitism, rusophobia or backwardation etc. People in Poland are also often so consumed by envy thats a theme for jokes in our country . This is exacly 40 % of population that will vote on Law and Justice Party.

But if we talk about WWII this is a very bright moment in  our history when you can find the better face of polish nation because as once Churchill said polish nation is great in hard times of defeat or occupation and pitful in a moment of triumph.

Polish population was always divided on 2 parts like patriotic rebeliants against Russian Empire and people that tried to use the situation for the own benefit. A novel  - Rozdziobia was kruki i wrony is best example for that. It tells a story of brave rebeliant who dies in forest and peasant who only thinks how to sell things belonging to this soldier and what to do with injuried horse.

Polish soldiers fought on Western Front, on Eastern Front,  especially n Battle of England, in Africa we also had one of biggest and most effective resistance in our country called Armia Krajowa.

For sure only absolute renegades served under SS control - its true some people were forced to serve in Wehrmacht but not voluntarily and they try to escape at first oportunity.

Learn some history for Gods sake.

We were such good ally for III Reich that Nazis killed 3 milion of Poles and 3 milions of Jews polish citizens. In addition Soviets killed about 150.000 Poles and Ukrainians about the same number of people. 

I know  people in USA really think US Army liberated Europe but the true fact is Wehrmant lost 80 % of soldiers on Eastern Front with some help of Poles who killed as much Nazis as the can
