The article simplifies complex issues. However, at the core there it points out some real issues - demographic challenges : Babyboomers are starting to retire and there are fewer tax-payers to pay for their upkeep. At the same time Denmark are suffering from the same level of consumerism as the rest of the West. We want everything, so we are demanding tax cuts so we can buy it. This to me is the real threat against Nordic welfare societies - we are loosing the sense of community.
