Austrian Motorists Enticed with CNG Offer

International energy company OMV and Volkswagen AG subsidiary Porsche Holding GmbH have commenced an initiative to promote Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a fuel for mobility. At a joint press conference at the OMV headquarters in Vienna, Hans Peter Schützinger, CEO of Porsche Holding Salzburg and Rainer Seele, OMV Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO, discussed the significance of this fuel and offered a special deal for those considering a CNG vehicle.

Opting for gas in passenger transport also brings with it significant savings. Up to 23% less CO2, 75% less nitrogen oxide and a 98% fall in particulate emissions – these are all powerful environmental arguments in favour of CNG-powered vehicles.

CNG certainly worked very well for running buses when I lived in Western Oz.
