Although if end goal is to reduce population of what some perceive as a “plague to the Earth”, most cost-effective “investment” would be to support socialists (Democratic party seems to be trying to outMarx the Karl, may support them as well)

my dentist went to LA for vacation and was shocked...

I mean more of dark days USSR/China/Cambodia Socialistic experiment.

Clearly, Michael Bloomberg isn't a complete idiot. He must be believing in the cause. But even if we disregard for a moment fakery (I know there is no such word) of the AGW, pouring money into fighting it is least effective use of funds, considering other philanthropy options from  Effective Altruism point of view.

Take the train when you are down there.  100% of every side of every train track is nothing but homeless bum encampments and their trash up and down the entire state.  It is not just the big cities.  It is the small cities as well.  Even in Santa Barbara. California along its train tracks IS a Shithole.
