As well as Prime Minister Modi, other leaders from the G20 include Liu He, Member, Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee; General Office Director, Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs, People's Republic of China; Mauricio Macri, President of Argentina, Cyril Ramaphosa, Deputy President of South Africa; His Majesty King Felipe VI, King of Spain, and Michel Temer, President of Brazil. It's that very special time of year when the global elite gathers to push the rhetorical frontiers of neoliberal hokum into new realms previously thought unreachable.

Some of the titles:  'Vision and Values'. 'The future is our friend'. 'The company's greatest asset is it's people'.... What about paying workers enough so they don't get in debt.

Oxfam's latest  reported shows "that the global economy is rigged in favour of an elite few. Inequality is the challenge of our generation". Nothing new!? Or, old story for new generation...

I saw comment one of the panelist in Davos on this, and makes sense: "The global economy works for those who work diligently not rigged in their favour. It's a real possibility to accumulate wealth if you are prepared to broaden your horizon and gain information; that enables investment and discipline over your personal finances

Any one living in a country with a free economy, perhaps other than those in a third world country has a chance to better them selves.  Challenge people to education, diligent work...   We are all equal

Agree with the two comments above. Regardless of what footing you started off on, you can always do better if you're willing to make sacrifices and put some elbow grease into it.

Yes, you are right guys. Go to school, work hard, listen, don't waste time and opportunities provided by the State for free, get a job, start a business, don't be a victim but take responsibility for yourself.

That’s been the case for 2000 years, human beings are greedy some more than others , and the ones that fail blame the ones that succeed..

Protectionism is all around of us, or isn't ? Maybe, I'm wrong.  But I'm sure how the world is not ready for globalized massive migrations. (one of the biggest problem today) Improving development of the poorest nations is a must before openin borders. Otherwise the result is what we already see: racism, intolerance and xenophobia. Chancellor Merkel knows that better than we.

Probably, knows. She's a part of that. And, sometimes (mostly) protectionism is the ubiquitous (and sometimes inevitable) reaction to the world's problems.

Democracy is in crisis in the world, decline in freedom in many regions of the world provoking conflicts and social tensions. Economic -social -politics crisis is causing decline in the welfare of a large part of the world's population. Unfortunately, that is our everyday life.

John McDonnell, British socialist, is probably most sincerity person in Davos.
He said how people in Britain and other countries couldn’t relate to the economic optimism expressed in Davos.

“When they are told wealth is being restored, the economy is growing, and they do not share in that growth ... that’s when people get alienated. People need to wake up and listen to that” - said McDonnell

When money flows from the poor to the rich, we call it capitalism. When money flows from the rich to the poor, we call that socialism. Simplified.

It's imposible mix true Socialism with Capitalist policies. But I'm a socialist who's believe in a global economy based on sustainable work for all. Inevitably in all of society there will be a multitude of jobs which all must participate.  Some will make more money than others. It would be nice if all made same money, but it's a impossible and unrealistic. Problem is when politics works for one group of people, group of rich people..

It's abilities and efforts not "namely-justice" that determine our living conditions and status. In the modern times, everyone who has adequate brilliance won't be missed, in the meanwhile, certilizing other's success is useless.
