What I found the most interesting about the article is the rationale for developing countries using coal energy sources.  For years, I had blithely assumed that it was simply because coal is (relatively) dirt cheap compared to other energy sources.  But it turns out that the prerequisite infrastructure needed for non-coal energy sources is simply non-existent or severely lacking.  This would indeed seem to make coal the logical choice. 

Paris Accord and Green New Deal socialist nonsense fail to take any of these energy infrastructure realities into account for large chunks of the world.  Like for most of Africa and much of Asia. 

China's Belt and Road Initiative will progress and likely succeed - at least to some extent - while the Paris Accord and Green New Deal will posture endlessly, but provide little actual accomplishment. 

 

Please supply the information to support your belief that natural gas requires more infrastructure than oil. The natural gas infrastructure already exists in all developed countries. You can fill up a natural gas vehicle in your own garage if you wish to buy the equipment or you have natural gas station options in most cities.

I don't have the information.

Note that this arrticle was discussing natural gas needing more infrastructure (e.g. piping) than coal.  Not oil.  Coal can be readily transported, unprocessed, via any lorry (truck).  Natural gas and oil, not so much.

Solar pays We are north of Vermont and solar is still a much better investment than a 30 year bond. and safer too.     So far since April we have saved 1200 on our bill plus they owe us 61  even if part of January and Feb is 0 we will still come out way ahead so I am not sure why there is so much anti solar talk.
