Douglas Buckland + 6,308 August 4, 2019 I think you will find that any 'cutting edge' technology was initiated and developed offshore and then perhaps applied to the shale game. When your daily spreadcosts are in the hundreds of thousands of dollars per day, you tend to put money into R&D to maximize your return on investment. Multi-lateral 'pad' drilling?
