Missed this on the 31st .. Venezuela says it's launching pre-sales of its now-famous oil-backed 'petro' coin on 20 February. They also said they are setting up mining centers to produce the tokens.

love it. cryptocurrency to the rescue. they're basically borrowing against oil, or forward-selling oil. nice.
