markslawson + 1,057 ML September 9, 2019 I haven't looked closely at this instance but my understanding of the American shale industries is that low prices mean more bankruptcies and higher prices mean fewer.. the bankruptcies are a result of the prices.. a feature of the market is that a lot of wells come on stream when prices are good but they aren't the permanent, expensive ones of conventional oil and gas production, but highly portable facilities that set up when prices are good and go into storage when times are bad.. another factor is that gas markets are increasingly becoming tied through LNG shipments but that depends on where you are.. as I said, that's just off the top of my head.. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
