Rodent + 1,424 February 6, 2018 Colombia again shutting in an oilfield for safety reasons as threats against it are made. Things are not looking so good for marriages between these south of the border countries and foreign oil interests. Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico--Guyana is the latest but so far things are looking okay there. Is this the age old problem of the resource curse, or just good old fashioned corruption? Addy + 14 AW February 6, 2018 I don't think that field's a very big one. 3600 bpd I think. Ecuador doesn't seem to have as many problems as its neighbors. I bet Ecuador is hoping its neighbors' problems don't spill into it.
Rodent + 1,424 February 12, 2018 Operations at three more oilfields in Colombia were stopped today amid protests that caused injury to workers. fires were set, fireworks thrown, etc. These three fields used to produce 200,000 barrels per day. Not sure how much they are responsible for now.
