I have also seen disclaimers on company websites that tell the prospective customers that they will not get products with materials made in China, India, etc. And to be honest, the tariffs do not make any real difference in the price of goods made in the US with materials from China(steel). A couple of percentage points at worst. Now on finished goods from China it is a different story. The tariffs are steep enough that I can sell someone something made in the US instead of China, and it warms my heart to see that happening. Doubtful those are directly tied to any trade manipulation by trump. Startup plans for major projects often take longer than this whole war. Has the US domestic price of those commodities (Steel, Al) drastically increased? China imports decreased? Actual questions - ideally present graphs showing those prices responding to trump announcements. With China not Canada. The Tariffs are taking their toll but China will hold out for another year. Like you said now China wants more talks. They promised to buy some ag products.
