damirUSBiH + 327 DD February 11, 2018 Obviously, they try to make step forward after years of war.... Iraq seeks around $100 billion in foreign investment in transport, energy and agriculture as part of a plan to rebuild parts of the country and revive the economy after a three-year war on Islamic State. Kate Turlington + 44 KT February 11, 2018 Right, but they also are planning to transport Kirkuk oil to Iran by truck. This is going to be interesting. To do that they need to go through a mountainous area near the border with Iran, and there are armed groups operating there. It's a big enough threat that they have to launch an entire military operation to secure this corridor.
TraderTate + 186 TS February 11, 2018 Is this ISIS?
Kate Turlington + 44 KT February 11, 2018 I think one of the groups is ISIS-related at least--maybe an offshoot, but the other is probably Kurds (not Iraqi).
