GECF Meeting and other issues of global gas geopolitics

Recommended Posts

In coming days a new meeting of the GECF will be held in Equatorial Guinea with a general landscape on its behalf and advantage to the advance if the natural gas as the erupting new hydrocarbon but an interesting puzzle and clash between Russia, the US and now Qatar announcing its expanding and planning to ramp up its production and exports of LNG while Putin calling US shale "barbaric" https://www.google.com/search?q=putin+calls+US+shale+chaotic&oq=putin+calls+US+shale+chaotic&aqs=chrome..69i57.11339j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8, meanwhile other iconic projects and developments in the world like Vaca Muerta in argentina is under clouds ahead of the next arrival to power of leftist Alberto fernandez meanwhile the other gas player Bolivia is still in the middle of a political uncertainty after Evo Morales was removed from power and diverse others geopolitical issues impacting the natural gas landscape.

But definitely the dynamics of the US as LNG exporter, Qatar ramping up its production and exports, turmoil in Latam, China economic and financial outlook for next year, make altogether an interesting panorama for tne next meeting of this bloc amid turbulent moment for OPEC and Russia cut deal while Europe develops its own Green Strategy and the shift to renewables is importantly underway surely to impact the oil demand in 2020 and beyond.

Once Qatar significantly ramps up its LNG production and LNG exports, the global LNG game should change yet again.
