It shows that many red states who flout the ideological righteousness of  low state taxes make up for their budget shortfalls by taking federal gov't welfare.

And why everyone is fleeing California.  ~9% tax rate and why they are fleeing to the South with low or no income tax taking their businesses and jobs with them.  Revenue just shows how idiotic the government is and how quickly they will be losing their tax base. 

Welfare: Far as I am concerned 100% of welfare should be removed at federal level.  That is at best a state issue due to Constitution.

So you dislike trumps policy of doing federal wealth transfers to the farmers hurt by his trade war? 

He did that, it's welfare, and you liked it; because -in theory- it hurt China (it didn't) and it helps republicans while taking from democrats.

Farmers pay taxes and have every right to government assistance as part of government trade strategies.

I guess it doesn't matter how many times one points to evidence that China needs outside grains to survive.  It also doesn't matter how many times one gives evidence of the only long term, quality, consistent provider of those grains is the USA.  It's against their narrative and is forgotten or brushed off, again and again.

You must have different farmers than we do.  Most I ever saw was one with a trailer he could pull to a campground and a few others with fishing boats.

And the equipment was owned by the banks and the dealerships.  Or a landlord.

If you had bothered to pay attention to what I have said through MANy different topic threads, as far as I am concerned Almost All of the functions of the current USA federal government should be abolished.  That sir, includes elimination of the ENTIRE farm bill and USDA.

Enjoy tilting at windmills and knocking over strawmen...
