The White House has been considering a plan to rejoin the Paris climate agreement by 2020, George David Banks, former top White House adviser on international energy and environment issues told media. Under Banks's proposed plan, prior to the 2020 Group of Seven Summit, Trump would ask Congress to formalize the emissions proposal with legislation.

Any attempt to rejoin 'Paris' will simply make him even more of a laughing stock. Here in western Europe, Trump is at best seen as an object of some amusement.

Bill Clinton signed Kyoto, but did not submit it to the Senate because he knew it would not be ratified. Barack Obama signed the Paris "accords", but did not submit them to the Senate because he knew they would not be ratified. And now Banks is advocating "rejoining" a renegotiated agreement and submitting it for ratification.

Where do you get 100 billion? The US monetary commitment was $3 billion total.

The earth hasn't changed since Trump left the Paris Climate Pact. It's still summertime in Antarctica
