Iceland Generates 100% Of Its Electricity Through Renewables

Iceland is currently the only country in the world running on 100% renewable energy. And, that's not all. They drilled roughly 3 miles (5km) into the heart of a volcano to access the immense heat trapped inside. In this way they can expect to get "5 to 10 times more power from the well than a conventional oil or gas well today.

Well, this type of energy only works if there is a volcano nearby.... it will work for Iceland - but not really for many other places

Where are they now fuel lobbyists? I wonder why  don't control their legislature like in many countries?:)

People ahead of profits. Few years ago they jailed the bankers and bailed out the homeowners. After the biggest crisis they are reborn.

By official sources 70% of Iceland's electricity is produced from hydro, and it's a not so "green" like many of us think.
