Make no mistake, Trump still dominant force in the Republican Party

They tried but failed to eliminate him.

To the Democrats Trump is like stepping on gum.  It's stuck on your shoe and whatever you do you just can't get rid of it.

Mitch McConnell thinks he is now the defacto leader of the Republican party. I don't see it.  Mitch (under direction from the House Oversight Committee) says Trump should be tried in criminal court for riots.

McConnell and wife Elaine Chao should be tried for enriching their family by consorting with the CCP.

Gallup reported last month, Trump's approval among self-described Republicans stood at 82%. And more recently, Monmouth University found 72% of Republicans continue to believe Trump's claims President Joe Biden won the November election only because of widespread voter fraud.

Those 10 GOP House Reps that bet on the wrong horse and voted to impeach Trump will be Primary Challenged for 2022 elections.

Every incumbent starts out with high approval after every election. even if they lose. Drumpf was too reliant on digital media (see Twitter) to amplify his messaging (maybe he didn't remember the history of the SCOTUS ruling on section 230: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratton_Oakmont), with his megaphone attenuated, where does he turn?  Does the Trump bluster still work if he loses?
