GREEN NEW DEAL = BLIZZARD OF LIES

They take me to my doctor 7 miles away.   That goes past three grocery stores, 4 pharmcies, 1 auto dealer and 4 strip centers.   You just want to bend the rules so you win.

Many people, like my brother, live in areas like nsdp. IMHO that is great, if your traffic is safe. I don't think his is. It is almost as bad as riding your bike or a moped. I would not do it. I have seen too many people have serious road rash or worse when trying to compete with cars. That is just me though. If you feel lucky, that is your choice. There are a lot of bad and impaired drivers out there.

Why? Those golf carts and neighborhood vehicles are faster than your Mirage.

Yes and what of it? EV sales have increased during this period. Only ICE sales have decreased.

A total of 71,496 plug-in vehicles (55,449 BEVs and 16,047 PHEVs) were sold during April 2022 in the United States, up 37.1% from the sales in April 2021.

The low availability of vehicles, including EVs, has been driven in part by supply chain problems — most notably a shortage of semiconductor chips since early 2021 — that have led automakers to idle plants, leaving fewer cars and trucks available for consumers.

Cox Automotive reports the supply of all new vehicles at the end of April was down 40% from the same period a year earlier to 1.13 million unsold cars and trucks. That's about 800,000 vehicles below supply in April 2021 and 2.2 million below 2020.

Yet EV’s from China and the US enjoy historical growth in sales. Musk says Tesla can deliver 50% growth in sales for years to come. Who knows but they apparently have chips so far. China bless their hearts were supposed to get more Mongolian coal. Looking at the chart that didn’t happen.

This is what happens when governments are misled by faulty climate models into declaring war on 85% pf the energy supply,

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Why-US-Shale-Firms-Arent-Likely-To-Change-Their-Growth-Plans.html

"Shale oil production is going to increase this year, that's for sure. Yet it is becoming abundantly clear that it will not increase as much as the White House or the average driver would like it to increase. The circumstances are quite unfortunate, really. The industry is still recovering from the pandemic, suffering the lingering effects of lockdown-related supply chain breakdowns that have now created shortages and pushed prices higher.

As one Permian independent put it to Bloomberg, "It's just more difficult to get some of the key products that we need, whether that's pipe or sand. If we wanted to increase activity, say from three rigs to four or five, we would certainly have to plan on that a lot further out than what you would have had to a year or two back," Travis Thompson, chief executive of FireBird Energy said.

The focus on shareholder returns is also unlikely to change anytime soon. Oil and gas might be raking in the cash because of high oil prices, but overall, it remains a pariah industry for many as the energy transition's momentum accelerates amid the struggle to regain some energy security when a sizeable chunk of the world's global oil supply is being targeted by sanctions. What this means is that U.S. shale, like OPEC, is not riding to the rescue. U.S. shale has its own priorities.""

Former Times reporter Eric Lichtblau requested certain questions be off limits during Clinton lawyer's trial

"If Lichtblau takes the witness stand at trial, the Court should require him to answer all relevant questions posed to him that fall within the scope of his direct testimony, the criminal charge, or his credibility and reliability," Durham wrote in a response to Lichtblau’s motion for protective rights.

Gabby take heed here the charges were minimal. This trial was merely discovery. What now is unfolding is true enormity of what occurred.

Friends with benefits: Sussmann trial is a black eye for the FBI

Despite the trial judge’s rulings imposing strict limits on the scope of the trial evidence, Durham’s case still revealed new information on how the Russia collusion theory was pushed into the FBI and the media by the Clinton campaign. Perhaps the most ironic moment came when Sussmann’s defense team outed Clinton as personally approving the campaign’s effort to spread the claim that the Trump organization maintained a secret channel to the Kremlin through Russia’s Alfa Bank.

Tale of two trials: How Sussmann is receiving every consideration denied to Flynn

Looking at the jury box, one can understand Shaw’s unease. During jury selection, one juror admitted he was a Clinton donor and could only promise to “strive for impartiality as best I can.” Prosecutors objected to his being seated, but Judge Christopher Cooper overruled them.

Sussmann trial jury features three Clinton donors, AOC donor and close connection to Sussmann: Turley

He's facing a jury that has three Clinton donors, an AOC donor and a woman whose daughter is on the same sports team as Sussmann's daughter. With the exception of randomly selecting people out of the DNC headquarters, you could not come up with a worse jury.

No one "said" the metric was simply numbers of units, numbers of transactions was initially your suggestion, not mine.

The most meaningful metric is market value, where fossil fuel vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, SUVs, trucks, train engines, airplanes are more than 99% of the transportation market value and more than 99% of passenger miles and freight volumes.

EVs are just a toy for marginal enjoyment.

What does it feel like to be a Biden supporter? With the energy markets beaten into turmoil and $6 gas at California gas stations?

How long can this chaos continue?

The death of Coal and Oil one solar panel at a time...........

RENEWS.BIZ

https://renews.biz/78200/californian-solar-project-powers-up/

Idemitsu Renewables' 73MW solar project in California has achieved commercial operation and is expected to generate clean and affordable power equivalent to the needs of over 20,000 homes in the state.

The Luciana solar project (pictured), located in Ducor, provided jobs for over 200 workers during construction, Idemitsu said.

Idemitsu Renewables chief executive Cary Vandenberg said: "Considering the unprecedented supply chain challenges the industry faced this past year, we are proud to have successfully achieved commercial operation of the Luciana project through our partnership with East Bay Clean Energy (EBCE).

"By leveraging our financial strength and development expertise, we're helping California meet its aggressive clean energy goals while also providing significant investment in Tulare County."

The renewable power generated by the Luciana project will be sold through a 15-year power purchase agreement with EBCE, which serves Alameda County and neighbouring cities.

EBCE chief executive Nick Chaset said: "The Luciana project brings more low-cost renewable energy to EBCE's portfolio, and it's another big step forward on EBCE's path to 100% clean energy for all of our customers by 2030."

The demand for oil and gasoline continues to power the price of oil in an upward direction.

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Where-Are-Oil-Prices-Headed.html

"Oil prices have skyrocketed since the beginning of the year, pushing gasoline prices to all-time highs.

Despite some bearish factors such as demand uncertainty and growing fears of a potential recession, bullish catalysts are mounting in the oil market.

The world is going to experience an era of higher oil and gas prices, and there just isn’t much anyone can do about it."

It is not just demand--there are plenty of supply side issues, such as oil companies choosing to switch to refining more jet and diesel fuel (as they are more profitable) and the fact that there are fewer refineries overall (“The U.S. has now a million barrels a day less of refining capacity than we did in 2019 at a time when we need every barrel of capacity,” De Haan said.)

https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/3490553-heres-why-gasoline-prices-are-spiking-again/

Oil companies don't appear to be interested in reopening shutdown refineries, which is probably at least partially due to the push for renewables--if you can't be assured that these refineries will continue to be used long-term, why open them, especially when you are making money hand-over-fist in the current market?

Given the present situation, it seems like it is a ripe environment for renewables (to continue) to take off--something that Jay and Notsonice (and others) have noted is already happening.

Most of the refineries that were shuttered and not restarted is they are old outdated and most likely won't pass EPA standards. I won't do your homework, please check out what refineries were shut down and where they are located. Not a hard task, but might involve some research!

It is not my homework to do. It is your claim that most are outdated, so either you made it up, or you have sources to back it up. I don't care either way--the bottom line is that (regardless of the reasons) oil companies do not want to bring these refineries online again, so it further squeezes the supply.

You have touched on a subject that will be quite controversial shortly. Summed up Entitlement , oil investment and production has been taken for granted. Almost a dirty secret/topic, the environmental activists and politician's has bastardied the industry...all that is evil.

Recent events on the world stage has demonstrated the abject failure of Green Energy implementation today the world is becoming acutely aware of fossil fuels relevance to modern society.

Oil production and investment is not a entitlement, there is by no means any obligation to produce. Perhaps we are entering a time of rebuilding value to the brand. High pricing cutting growth and maximizing returns will cause many to reevaluate  their positions..that I can assure you.

The above is only a opinion however your mileage may vary.
