Ecocharger + 1,474 DL November 10, 2022 (edited) Here is where the insane plans to destroy the energy sector would take America, into a black hole of economic destruction and imploding lifestyles. The lights have already gone out all over Europe, and America is the next target of the maniacal campaign. https://www.politico.eu/article/energy-crisis-russia-europe-monuments-light/ "Several regions of Germany, one of the EU members most reliant on imports of Russian gas, are scrambling to come up with solutions to reduce consumption — with Hanover switching to cold showers in all public buildings. Germany has a new law in place to save energy nationwide through temporary measures such as banning the illumination of landmarks. In Paris, the Eiffel Tower will see its lights dimmed an hour earlier than usual starting this week, and the water temperature in municipal pools will be lowered. In the rest of the country, roughly 12,000 communes have fully or partially switched off public lighting at night. Spain went for a curfew, with shops and monuments now being required to dim the lights and shut down at 10 p.m. sharp — although those efforts might prove to be in vain what with Madrid choosing to put up Christmas lights in September." TailingsPond + 1,008 GE November 11, 2022 Oh no it might be a bit darker at night! Reducing wasteful practices like lighting up a monument nobody is looking at saves money - the opposite of economic destruction. Also note these problems are because of fossil fuel dependency; which is the real problem. Excessive dependence on unreliable foreign energy will drive renewable energy growth. 1

Right now it has failed to do that without massive subsidies. It is not able to compete on a large enough scale. We are having an energy disaster due to its failures in the Free World, while the oil and gas producing countries laugh at us. I put in solar water heating in 2020. Thanks to sky rocketing gas prices it pays for itself every 3 years I put in 1440W of PV in 2020. Thanks to sky rocketing electricity prices (due to gas going to the moon) that pays for itself every 4 years. No subsidies or feed in tariffs involved Infact thanks to a combination of renewables and efficiency measures our monthly gas and electric bill is £150 instead of £450 which it would have been with gas prices going into orbit. I was so impressed with solar PV I put another 2.7KW in last month. 1

When it gets to 108F and the wind stops blowing, as it would do for several days in a row back then leaving us out of water to supply us, hogs, sheep, and cattle, we are going to need pumpjacks. Suggested solution: adequate water storage and management for your expected needs. Edited November 14, 2022 by turbguy
