The Des Moines Register Iowa Poll: Kamala Harris leapfrogs Donald Trump to take lead near Election Day. Here's how 1 day ago Now you tell me if this supports your post??????? do you think they will take down all of those wind farms in Iowa "cancer causing.......oh my who babbled that wind farms cause cancer??????" ...Or do you think the fine people of Iowa support the Green Agenda enjoy the reality Iowa is a leader in wind energy, generating more electricity from wind than any other state: Low utility costs: Wind energy is the cheapest new source of electricity generation, which keeps utility costs low and stable. Production: In 2023, wind power accounted for 59% of Iowa's electricity generation. Location: Most wind farms are in the northern and western parts of the state, where the winds are strongest. Job creation: The wind energy sector in Iowa supports over 3,953 jobs. Landowner revenue: Landowners who host turbines receive millions of dollars in revenue. County tax revenue: Counties receive millions of dollars in property tax revenue from wind energy. Iowa's wind energy success is due to a combination of factors, including: Forward-thinking policy: Iowa was a leader in wind energy before it became popular. Business-friendly approach: Iowa's business-friendly approach has contributed to its success. Collective effort: Iowa's wind energy success is the result of a collective effort. Iowa's wind energy success has also attracted companies like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft, which have chosen Iowa for their energy-intensive facilities. Iowa is also developing its solar power industry. The state's largest solar farm, Holiday Creek Solar Farm, came online in 2022. Two additional 150-megawatt solar farms are scheduled to begin operating by the end of 2024. Edited November 4 by notsonice

Fair enough, while I support environmentalism I am not a supporter of the "Green New Deal" specifically. I fully understand that doing things with respect to the environment is more expensive than pure exploitation and polluting the earth. Nice things cost money. The fossil industry can clean up their act and even that is okay with me. I have advocated for switching coal to natural gas which is still a fossil fuel because it is less toxic. Thank you for providing independent thought.
