Rising Oil Price and the next OPEC+ Meeting: will the group listen to Indian Plea this time?

The OPEC+ is scheduled to meet on July 1, amidst growing international pressure to reining in the price of crude oil, especially by the countries hard hit by the pandemic. India, the third largest consumer of the crude oil in the world, is the latest to publicly voice the concerns.

This is not the first time that India took this step; when it made a similar plea last time, it did not go down very well with Saudi Arabia; it actually evolved into a serious diplomatic spat between the old allies, while the ministers in question publicly trading barbs.
