China admits its economy suffered in August; will there be yet another phone call from the US to OPEC+ before the meeting ?

China PMI - August

On the eve of the latest OPEC+ meeting, the National Statistics Bureau of China released its economic figures for August with the main focus on the PMI, Purchasing Manager's Index of two key sectors.  China appeared to have contained the outbreaks of the Delta variant -at the expesne of its economy. It partially accounts for the steady decline in the price of crude oil during this month, as the demand for crude oil from the world's second largest consumer went down.
