Norwegian oil blocks in the North Sea and Barent Sea

The industry transformed the Scandinavian nation from one of the poorest in Europe to one of the richest in the World in just five decades. Yet, the very sector is under severe threat from politcal developments, coupled with negative public perception. The fact it could only attract just 4 players when Norway offered licences for 8 of them recently shows the worrying trend.
