I am a regular reader of the World Energy Outlook that world doesnt need new investment in oil and gas industry.

Below you can find summary of a conversation between Japanese government representatives and IEA director Fatih Birol made available for public by the Japanese government and Javier Blas on twitter.

Let me leave it without a comment

OIL MARKET: Japan put out a rare read-out of a call between its Ministry of Foreign Affairs and @IEA head Fatih Birol. The readout (below) points to growing concern in Tokyo about high prices and says Birol backed more investment as oil demand will not drop anytime soon
