Recommended Posts

Rich gas is natural gas produced that has more than 1005 btu per cubic foot at 60F and atmospheric pressure and saturated with water vapor.   this is due to ethane , propane , butane and NGLs being presentment in the stream which have higher caloric value.

Rich gas means;  Natural gas containing heavier hydrocarbons than a lean gasIts liquid content adds important economic value to developments containing this type of fluid.

Lean gas is gas high in methane content (typically 95% or more) and with few higher fractions. Hence of relatively low Calorific Value. Also known as Dry gas. The converse of Rich Gas
