US crude inventory build and oil price - API and EIA

The US  crude inventories have been growing for the past two weeks, according to the data from both the API and EIA. In light of the release of more than 6 million barrels of oil from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve, how consistent is the crude inventory build and the relatively static oil price?
