On February 14, 2024, a federal grand jury returned the indictment and Smirnov was ... Today, a federal court unsealed a two-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in the Central District of California charging Alexander Smirnov, 43, with making a false statement, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001, and creating a false and fictitious record, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1519, for statements he made that were recorded in an official record of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) known as a Form 1023. David C. Weiss, Special Counsel, made the announcement. On February 14, 2024, a federal grand jury returned the indictment and Smirnov was arrested at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, after his arrival in the U.S. from overseas. Later today, Smirnov will have an initial appearance at the federal courthouse in the District of Nevada at 2:30 p.m. pacific time. According to the indictment, Smirnov was a confidential human source (CHS) with the FBI. As alleged in the indictment, despite repeated admonishments that he must provide truthful information to the FBI and that he must not fabricate evidence, Smirnov provided false derogatory information to the FBI about Public Official 1, and Businessperson 1, the son of Public Official 1, in 2020, after Public Official 1 became a presidential candidate. The indictment alleges that in March 2017, Smirnov reported to an FBI Agent that he had had a phone call with the owner of Ukrainian industrial conglomerate Burisma Holdings, Limited concerning Burisma’s interest in acquiring a U.S. company and making an initial public offering (IPO) on a U.S.-based stock exchange. In reporting that conversation to the FBI Agent, Smirnov also noted that Businessperson 1, Public Official 1’s son, was a member of Burisma’s Board, a fact that was publicly known. The indictment alleges that Smirnov provided no further information. Three years later, in June 2020, the indictment alleges that Smirnov reported, for the first time, two meetings in 2015 and/or 2016. As alleged in the indictment, Smirnov falsely claimed that during these meetings, executives associated with Burisma, admitted to him that they hired Businessperson 1 to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems,” and later that they had specifically paid $5 million each to Public Official 1 and Businessperson 1, when Public Official 1 was still in office, so that “[Businessperson 1] will take care of all those issues through his dad,” referring to a criminal investigation being conducted by the then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General into Burisma and to “deal with [the then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General].” As alleged in the indictment, the events that Smirnov first reported to the FBI Agent in June 2020 were fabrications. In truth and fact, the defendant had contact with executives from Burisma in 2017, after the end of the administration when Public Official 1 had no ability to influence U.S. policy and after the Ukrainian Prosecutor General had been fired in February 2016. The indictment alleges that the defendant transformed his routine and unextraordinary business contacts with Burisma in 2017 and later into bribery allegations against Public Official 1 after expressing bias against Public Official 1 and his presidential candidacy. As further alleged in the indictment, when he was interviewed by FBI agents in September 2023, Smirnov repeated some of his false claims, changed his story as to other of his claims, and promoted a new false narrative after he said he met with Russian officials. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors. Court documents and information for this case is located on the website of the District Court for the Central District of California or on PACER by searching for Case No. 2:24-cr-00091. Hunter Biden is currently under an investigation by the Department of Justice for using the Owasco PC corporate account for tax evasion and other serious crimes. Following subpoenas to obtain Biden family associates’ bank records, Chairman Comer issued subpoenas for Hunter and James Biden’s personal and business bank records. The House Oversight Committee has identified over 20 shell companies and uncovered how the Bidens and their associates raked in over $24 million dollars between 2015 and 2019 by selling Joe Biden as “the brand.” Financial records obtained show Hunter Biden’s business account, Owasco PC, received payments from Chinese-state linked companies and other foreign nationals and companies. Payments to Joe Biden from Hunter’s Owasco PC corporate account are part of a pattern revealing Joe Biden knew about, participated in, and benefited from his family’s influence peddling schemes. As the Bidens received millions from foreign nationals and companies in China, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Kazakhstan, Joe Biden dined with his family’s foreign associates, spoke to them by speakerphone, had coffee, attended meetings, and ultimately received payments that were funded by his family’s business dealings. Chairman Comer today released a video outlining the direct payments Joe Biden received from Hunter’s Owasco PC bank account and stated the House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the money to ensure accountability for President Biden’s involvement in his family’s corrupt domestic and international business schemes. https://oversight.house.gov/release/comer-releases-direct-monthly-payments-to-joe-biden-from-hunter-bidens-business-entity/ Edited February 27 by Eyes Wide Open

Galanis was also previously convicted of participating in a market manipulation and fraud scheme in which he also evaded a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) order prohibiting him from serving as an officer or executive at publicly traded companies. At the time, then Acting US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Audrey Strauss said that Galanis had “orchestrated two multimillion-dollar fraud schemes, and hid behind a team of co-conspirators to conceal his involvement and defy an SEC ban”. Despite his history of deception, leaders of the Republican-led committees had hoped Galanis would link Mr Biden to his son’s business ventures even though a string of other witnesses — including Archer — had failed to do so. The failure of Galanis to connect the president with his son’s various business endeavours is just the latest in a succession of embarrassing milestones in the years-long House probe, which has thus far been unsuccessful in finding any justification for impeaching the president. It would appear your pretty much spot on, yet political pressure is being mounted at a very disturbing level. Already the malcontents are being rallied, the desperation is palatable. The US has a very small segment of its population base that has been corrupted by fear...and quite vocal.. Fix the Insurrection Act Before a Trump Inauguration If Congress fails to do so, troops could crush protests to begin a second term It’s Jan. 19, 2025, the eve of Donald Trump’s second Inauguration Day. Rumors are swirling that protesters plan major disruptions in cities across the country. In response, the president-elect directs his aides to draw up orders placing state national guards across the country under federal control. “Can we do this legally?” some worried staffers ask. “Don’t we need the governors’ consent?” “No,” Mr. Trump’s legal counsel says, “the president has legal authority to federalize the guard, whatever a governor may say.” The next day, Mr. Trump delivers his address, which will instantly be dubbed “Son of American Carnage,” and protests break out from coast to coast. The whole idea of a court being "on Trumps side" is political pressure. You have no respect for law. Using the military against it's own people is illegal. You have no respect for law and you want this? "the president-elect directs his aides to draw up orders placing state national guards across the country under federal control. Which brings up a quite interesting puzzle let's say. Just who can envoke the insurrection act? The president of the United States...or the progressive socialist party of the Democratic party? Oh the irony of it all. Live TV What is the Insurrection Act? By Paul LeBlanc, CNN 3 minute read Published 6:40 PM EST, Mon January 11, 2021 Erin Schaff/Getty Images WashingtonCNN — Viral social media posts have falsely claimed that President Donald Trump invoked the Insurrection Act of 1807 law to deploy American soldiers to police US streets. That didn’t happen. The unfounded posts have gained traction in the wake of the US Capitol breach on Wednesday that engulfed the nation’s capital in chaos and left five dead, including an officer with the US Capitol Police. While the law provides ample legal footing for presidents to deploy the military if they so choose, in practice it’s been used sparingly. The most notable application of the law was perhaps its invocation to enforce desegregation in the 1950s. ADVERTISING What is the Insurrection Act? The main provision of the Insurrection Act states that troops can only be deployed to an American state by the President if the governor or state legislature requests it. Another provision of the law, however, outlines that under certain limited circumstances involved in the defense of constitutional rights, the President can send troops unilaterally. “Historically and practically, such a request is not necessarily a prerequisite to the President using regular federal troops for domestic law enforcement,” Stephen Vladeck, a University of Texas law professor and CNN contributor, previously told CNN of the law. https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/11/politics/insurrection-act-explainer/index.html Edited March 2 by Eyes Wide Open

You do not respect constitutional rights - do not try to invoke constitutional rights when you are trying to overthrow the constitution. Eyes Wide Open + 3,552 March 2 (edited) Now this is quite interesting...since the Supreme Court has stepped into the litigation of Trumps alleged misconduct the entire Insurrection debacle is falling apart. Even the lower courts are stepping in, things are becoming quite uncomfortable for the US legal system. Appeals court tosses Jan. 6 sentence in ruling that could affect more than 100 cases The ruling by a three-judge panel raises the possibility that more than 100 defendants may be resentenced over their role in the attack on the Capitol. More than 1,300 defendants have been charged in connection to the Jan. 6 riot. Around 750 have pleaded guilty to federal charges, and about 785 have been sentenced. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/court-tosses-jan-6-sentence-ruling-affect-100-cases-rcna141465 Edited March 3 by Eyes Wide Open

However Mr. Biden might very agree to a public hearing now that the questions have been answered to the best of his abilities. How this all ends...Let the Drama Unfold. Hunter Biden admits to being 'high or drunk' when he said he was 'sitting here' with dad Joe just days before $5.1 million flowed into family accounts from Chinese energy company By Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter On Capitol Hill, For Dailymail.Com and Morgan Phillips, Congress Reporter On Capitol Hill For Dailymail.Com and Kelly Laco, Executive Editor Of Politics On Capitol Hill For Dailymail.Com and Dominic Yeatman For Dailymail.Com The president's son told Congress he lied to Chinese company CEFC about his father sitting next to him because he was not sober His Whatsapp message included a demand for $5.1 million which was paid within 10 days But he insisted his father 'never' had any involvement in his business dealings House oversight chair James Comer says Hunter will now face a public hearing after his closed door testimony to the committee The WhatsApp message to CEFC was cited by IRS whistleblowers Joseph Ziegler and Gary Shapley last year as evidence of a Justice Department cover-up into the Biden's after they were refused permission to investigate it. It later emerged from photos on his abandoned laptop that Hunter Biden was not with his father on the day it was sent, but was at Joe Biden's home in Wilmington, Delaware. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13138891/Hunter-Biden-high-drunk-Chinese-energy-company.html Edited March 3 by Eyes Wide Open
