Someone has to pay taxes, they may as well be consumption based on outside sources from your nation. LIE: Free Trade has nothing to do with capitalism other than inside a country under IDENTICAL laws/regulations. What it is called Free MARKET capitalism, not just Free Capitalism. Free Capitalism(or just Capitalism) just leads to slavery. The market is the commons where EVERYONE can freely trade and there are no monopolies and no oligarchs who have control of the marketplace. Outside a country one has different regulations, politics, justice system, subsidies, etc. This is NOT free Trade. This is one marketplace with one set of regulations trying to trade with another marketplace which may or may not be free from monopolies, subsides, or with different regulations and enforcement of laws under a different justice system. NO under no circumstances can you have FREE TRADE with a country that has deep and onerous regulations with say the environment and another country which may or may NOT have said regulations but never enforces them. All this means is all manufacturing leaves the country with the regulations. This leads directly to slavery of one form or another. Anyone supporting this is a slaver piece of garbage who should be at minimum thrown in jail. No, you cannot have free trade with a slave nation(political differences due to say Communism/Marxism/Socialism). All this leads to is increased slavery and a couple fat cats at the top. You are enabling slavery and should be thrown in jail at minimum. No, you cannot have free trade with a country whose religion says they are duty bound by their Prophet to to subjugate you(Islam) turning you into at best a 2nd class citizen or an outright slave as they follow the actions of their prophet Mohamed who did EXACTLY that. All you are doing is propping up a barbaric people who wish to ENSLAVE YOU. I suggest you get "WOKE". and stop being a sheep slave. TailingsPond + 1,016 GE January 23 (edited) One could speculate that Musk and Trump have a great plan to bankrupt oil and gas in the USA. Step 1) Push hard for more domestic oil and gas production despite OPEC+ production cuts and Russia sanctions artificially inflating value. Step 2) US companies invest in oil development from government stimulus. Step 3) The war in Ukraine ends unleashing all the Russian oil on the world. OPEC+ ramps up production. Prices plummet. Step 4) USA oil industry dies as they can not make a profit with a global oil glut. Step 5) Trump and Musk make a bunch of money by shorting oil stocks. It might not be the only country does so. Many countries, including Malaysia, apply that law. If the parents are citizens, then, by birth, a migrant baby is automatically a citizen. If one of them is, they need to apply to get approval. Higher chance to clear if father is an american. If none of them is a citizen, the baby born will not be considered a citizen. Many choose to go back to their country of origin to give birth or report to the embassy of country of origin for registration shall emergency child birth is happening. Otherwise, baby born would be without identity like Rohigya of bangladesh origin, children to refugees and illegal entries in many countries. They sometimes volunteer to be deported or they will dump the baby or abort it earlier. Migrants are generally not treated well everywhere. No point to let them have citizenship without giving them a fair chance nor due basic respect. There is a touching movie, based on a true story, how lives of a few migrant kids were changed by chance by a white coach. The title of the movie is "McFarland, USA". Synopsis: McFarland The film is based on the true story of a small Central California high school coach that took an unlikely group of immigrant students and transformed them into a distance-running dynasty, culminating with their team win in the 1987 CIF Cross Country Championships. (The story was initially published in the LA Times.)27 Feb 2015 https://www.outsideonline.com P/s: lives of those kids changed from no hope to have a different future with respect gained and scholarships granted. Instead of giving citizenship away but treated them with disrespect or inhumanely, might as well give selectively, invite kids like these to come over from time to time and granting their parents easy visiting pass with living expenses covered. Chinese R&D if we assume PPP is already higher than US. Chinese paly a long game, they need about 10 years to be at the edge of every technology and simply rule the world. To make this safely happen they add about 100-150 nuclear warheads to their arsenal every year, just to not be surprised by US, even if Russia would not help. Farming has never been a choice for younger generation. Every parent and child would believe others profession have higher social status, earning more etc. In recent years, this belief might have shifted slightly in some places. City life has been costly, competitive and stressful. Many graduates choose to go back to hometown and help folks improve farming with what they learnt or knew. It could be incorporating technology to make farming easier, introducing new ways of supplying nutrients, water, improve yield- but use less or no chemical by changing design and monitoring systems. In a very small village somewhere, an illegal migrant could earn few thousands per harvest of vege compared to tens or hundreds of bucks before. Mexicans, usually brought in or come in as low level labour in the farm, factory, etc, believe they are doomed to labour heavy work with no other future. But, availability of your food depends largely on their hard work or at some fields, machinery. Do not deny them a future but give them one. There is a movie called " Flaming hot" Flamin' Hot" is the inspiring story of Richard Montañez, the Frito Lay janitor who channeled his Mexican American heritage and upbringing to turn the iconic Flamin' Hot Cheetos into a popular snack. https://www.disneyplus.com This migrant worked as low level entry staff in a factory, a cleaner. But he is determined to improve himself and learn more. He walked extra mile to help reduce work load of his black supervisor. He picked up quickly, sincere but still looked down by all, especially white manager. Not long later, the factory faced with financial problem due to sluggish sales. Many about to lose their job. He sat in despair in a garden, eating steamed corn. An idea propped up. He experimented the idea with his wife and let his son be the tester. After many experiments, new flavour of corn snack was born. He begged his black supervisor to let him have a minute phone call with the ceo of company. After twist & turn, his idea was finally heard and product tasted by the ceo. With approval of freehands, he fine tuned production and sale processes, helped by his wide network of friends. He made it, saving the company and rice bowl of everyone. He was promoted by ceo to deputy, an happy ending. Sometimes, help to turn around from bankruptcy or failure is a phone away. But, are we sincere/humble enough to take it from underdog determines future of both. Edited January 25 by specinho

Impose Tarriffs on Canadian oil and you will see gasoline shortages in the US instantly or you will be paying $4 a gallon everywhere in the US... The Gasoline futures market will go crazy. Remember Dopey, tariffs are a tax on the consumers......Enjoy watching Trump triggering inflation and creating a recession in the US. He is an idiot no different than the idiots who think that any refinery can process any grade of crude in unlimited percentages PS there are 31 oil pipelines crossing the US /Canadian border........ us refineries refining canadian tar sands oil Many U.S. refineries refine Canadian tar sands oil, which is Heavy crude produced from Canadian oil sands. The U.S. imports more Canadian crude oil than any other country. Why U.S. refineries refine Canadian tar sands oil? Growing demand U.S. refineries are increasingly reliant on Canadian oil, which is heavy and can be refined into gasoline, diesel, and other products. Security of supply U.S. refineries have long-term agreements with Canadian suppliers to ensure a steady supply of heavy crude oil. Where is Canadian tar sands oil refined? Midwest refineries Flint Hills refinery Located in Pine Bend, Minnesota, this refinery processes more tar sands crude than any other refinery in the United States. Refineries in PADD 2 These refineries are located in the U.S. Midwest and are closely connected to Canada's oil markets by pipeline and rail. Gulf Coast refineries Valero refineries These refineries are located on the Texas coast and have been increasing their export capacity for years. Refineries in PADD 3 These refineries are located on the U.S. Gulf Coast and are connected to Canada's oil markets by pipeline. West Coast refineries Refineries in PADD 5: These refineries are located in the Los Angeles area and northern Washington State. California refineries rely on Canadian crude imported by oil tanker and rail. How is Canadian tar sands oil refined? Bitumen is upgraded: Bitumen, the heavy tar-like substance extracted from oil sands, is mixed with lighter hydrocarbons to create "dilbit". Dilbit is then transported to refineries. Bitumen is refined to make synthetic crude oil (SCO): SCO is then transported to refineries or exported internationally. SCO is refined to make gasoline, diesel, and other products: These products are used for transportation, chemicals, and plastics. 1
