E-mopeds

Very interesting. It makes sense these would be more popular than electric cars in many overpopulated cities.

In my little bitty southern USA town last week, I saw the cleaning lady for the local post office riding one of these things with a box on the back to carry her cleaning supplies! She used to drive an old beat up truck with a fender literally held together with bailing wire. I thought, now, that is pretty profound, THIS uneducated lady (about age 40), barely scraping by, buying one of these things. I recall I hoped it's not a piece of junk that won't last long like they sell at some convenience stores in the nearby city.

I can see how a bazillion of these things could sell.

An advantage of electric vehicles is stable operation, long life, and low maintenance.  A cheap, Chinese ICE will be barely functional from the start and die after 10k miles - but a cheap, Chinese EV will work just fine and last nigh forever.  Because an electric scooter is effectively zero maintenance, user error is no longer a problem.

From a technical point of view, these are a huge leap over ICE scooters.  I would expect these to take off as quickly as residential lawn equipment.
