This article is about fossil fuel subsidise rising again in 2017 are a few years of falling, based on IEA data. Now up to $300 billion up 12%. Also pointed out in this article is that the total impact of fossil fuels, and where their growth and adoption is supported 6.5% of world GDP goes into propping up this industry.

I thought only renewables had subsidises.
