shadowkin + 584 EA March 21, 2019 (edited) The US ambassador to Yemen has accused the Iranian backed Houthis of failing to uphold what was agreed to in talks held in Sweden last December. This could possibly be a signal for the Saudi, UAE backed Sunnis in Yemen's south to go on the offensive and try to retake a key port with the goal of cutting off the Houthis' weapons supply from Iran and the eventual defeat of the Houthis. This would tie into the anti-Iranian strategy of the Trump administration by ensuring Iran is surrounded on all sides by hostile or unstable neighbors. The Houthis claim that agreement was only achieved as a result of international pressure from the Khashoggi killing.
