My friend has gotten to the point where he checks his stock investments almost every minute on his cell phone.  This affects him in that when his stocks are up he is happy and when they are down he is unhappy.  This mood swing can happen during daily stock swings.  I am sure that he is not the only one who is chained this way to the stock market.

If oil or gold I'd understand, kinda - the potential stress factor short term if large positions and checking all the time.

Penny stocks not worth the stress, tell him to reduce position sizes and learn patience ...  👍
