Rodent + 1,424 February 14, 2018 China is still digging its heels in, and not allowing Tesla to 100% own a factory there. China, as in all manufacturing businesses there, wants a piece of it. Tesla says it won't share. But importing Tesla's to China is pricing it out of the market there. Who will blink first? Does China need Tesla as much as Tesla needs China? Petar + 76 PP February 14, 2018 Expected. In 2017, China alone sold more electric vehicles than were sold globally in 2016. In 2017, China sold over 300% more than all of the U.S.
Pavel + 384 PP February 14, 2018 I don't know any foreign company that owns 100 % of the factory in China. But the fact is that more EV market increases, the governments are under more pressure to find base load clean energy and make a best deal.
