1 pointDo you think there are Musk clones? He said "possibly by clones?" That idea is some mental stuff and you up-vote it.
-
1 pointPossibly by clones? Hahaha! Just look at the Tesla share price. They have a lot of investor confidence.
-
1 pointAnother one bites the dust. The revolution continues. Sing it loud, it is music to my ears! "Oil producer Apache plans to cease oil production"
-
1 pointThis is literally ignoring reality. Covering your ears and eyes to any alternative opinions is childish. However, they do say ignorance is bliss so you must be very happy.
-
1 pointI don't work at all. I have been retired for 6 years now. Yes, I retired at 40, well semi-retired; dealing with the rental proprieties is a bit of a chore.
-
1 pointThe philosophers said that the limit of choice is suicide. You always have a choice. There is no such thing as "I had no choice but to do that" - you could have just killed yourself. Choosing to nothing is also a form of choice.
-
1 pointYou always have a choice. Philosophers have discussed this concept centuries ago.
-
1 pointLots of people give a f**k. The POTUS elect is kind of important and the ultra-rich green energy lobbyist in his ear has an agenda. You would have to be daft to ignore what is happening. Fact is people with power and money are buying into Tesla. Another fact is that Trump loves money.
-
1 pointI don't care if you have fun - and who is "us?" Describe the demographic group or clique you identify with. If you are meaning Rob and Old ruffly you should visit the AARP website not a energy forum.
-
1 pointYou have that backwards bud. You never answer questions, I do. "What forms of pollution would you support regulating?"
-
1 pointHe has openly said he will have huge tax cuts for the wealthy. https://taxfoundation.org/research/federal-tax/2024-tax-plans/
-
1 pointSuggestion of enslaving some uncivilized African tribes is cool?
-
1 pointThere is no conspiracy theory. Trump won and the stock price of Tesla immediately skyrocketed. It is clear to see for everyone.
-
1 pointHe managed to get the trans mountain pipeline expansion approved and built. The conservative government failed to get any pipelines built, they lacked the ability to negotiate with the first nations and environmental groups. Try harder.

1 pointHere is where the you get stuck at the big"if." What is happening to Tesla stock yesterday and today? It not an "if" situation. The green energy company is making huge money RIGHT NOW. The rest of the article spells bad news for oil industry saying they will struggle with small margins. “If you are not the low-cost producer, you should be scared.”

1 pointSmall bumps compared to Tesla. Unlike Tesla and Musk no single person has a massive share of bitcoin or the S&P. Can you understand that the EV company owner on stage next to Trump made billions? Not the market, not the economy, the guy on stage next to Trump with a voice in the POTUS elect ear. You guys will be sore when the EV revolution not only doesn't stop but gains speed.
-
1 pointSo Musk made billions today with his EV company, do you still think Trump will stop EV adoption? His spaceships are going to get huge NASA contracts as well.
-
1 pointThe EPA can impose additional federal regulations, or not, but they can not stop state regulations. Even if Trump dissolves the EPA entirely the individual states would still be free to make regulations.
-
1 pointHere is the post where you clearly confuse EPA regulations and California state regulations.
-
1 pointReally? You were just whinging about California's upcoming vehicle emission laws; going on about how some broke flyover states are mad about it and trying to sue. Remember?
-

-
1 pointThe feds can not stop California regulations without violating the constitution. 10th amendment buddy. Everyone will follow California rules as shown by history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution "Since 1992, the Supreme Court has ruled the Tenth Amendment prohibits the federal government from forcing states to pass or not pass certain legislation, or to enforce federal law."
-
1 pointYou know Trump does not respect the constitution, right? It is on record, he posted it himself. “Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,”
-
1 pointWho is too damn lazy to search? You! It is hard to find real charitable acts from Trump using his own money and I have no interest in finding them and posting them as I do not like him. You can campaign for him, I wont. If you are going to call someone dumb and lazy try not to mistake "your" with "you're" in your post.
-
1 pointRemember you are not voting for Elon Musk. Trump loves money. I agree that Musk would make a better president than Trump. He can't run but he can buy someone who can.
-
1 pointShow me an example of Trump giving to charity. Trump brags that he doesn't even pay taxes to support the country. "That makes me smart." I don't have a visa, I have a passport. I will not be a friend to a Trump USA.

1 pointWow look at all that oil demand. WTI down 4% Shale production down. https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/US-Shale-Gas-Production-Declines-for-the-First-Time-Since-2000.html Meanwhile Lithium forecast positive. https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/USGS-Finds-Enough-Lithium-to-Meet-Annual-Demand-Nine-Times-Over.html

1 pointThe cult just can't handle my level. Maybe a couple more will bugger off this energy market site. Boo Hoo.

-
1 pointThe externalities from the oil industry are huge. Polluted air and water is a massive social burden, as are explosions. The deepwater horizon disaster alone was epic. Lac-Megantic was also terrible.
-
1 pointYou keep ignoring that Trump has been bought by the owner of a EV company. Follow the money / political donations... Zero chance Musk is giving Trump millions without some potential policy kickbacks.

1 pointDidn't hear back from you about the vape pens. Embarrassed again?
-
1 pointYou are correct; the author of that article on The Economist calls himself a statistician and political scientist. However, he also has publications in economics journals so.... http://www.stat.columbia.edu/~gelman/
-
1 pointLike your employers? My alma mater offers economics under arts not science. https://www.ualberta.ca/en/undergraduate-programs/bachelor-of-arts-with-honors-economics.html
-
1 pointYou still retain the internal conflict that economists do not predict elections, and yet... It's okay, we know you are not a working economist so predict away! Your predictions are always fun.

1 pointOnce again indoor air pollution. We need improvements in outdoor air quality.
-
1 pointNo you didn't. You might have found a paper or two where a point source emissions got better (e.g. coal smokestacks got better). You have never shown great improvement in actual air quality. The air people breath remains very dirty primarily from fossil fuels.

-
1 pointThe coal supplier of China is China, it is domestic production. How does this benefit you? Increased global pollution and they may be gaining technology advancements due to irresponsible use of AI and toxic fuel sources.
-
1 pointWhile I agree with this consensus, an appeal to majority is a logical error. There are many examples in history where a singe person was right and had to fight back against the majority opinion.
-
1 pointHaha. The rich are not the market in this case, they own the means of production. "China, where the government pulls the strings." Musk, Buffett, and Gates can pull on lots of strings...
-
1 pointMaybe when they replace all the storm damage they will learn and improve. However, it is Florida so I doubt it.
-
1 pointHow is that oil price doing? "So much demand. Huge, huge demand. They lie, they lie. Oil is doing great. You should see all the oil. You have never seen oil like this." Simple minds....
-
1 pointSounding like trump there. You think a Trump election win will help or hurt EVs after Musk bought him? Do you know that Occidental petroleum, that Buffett went long on, business model is based on carbon credit profits? Are you a better at predicting the economy than Warren Buffett? Do you think a super rich investor might have some powerful lobbyists manipulating policy? Gates is all for it too. The richest people in the USA want EVs and carbon credits. https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Oxy-Strikes-Carbon-Credit-Deal-With-Microsoft.html
